Cadbury has announced its ‘retro’ golden Caramilk bars will be hitting UK shelves within weeks.
The chocolate maker confirmed it would be launching three sizes of a British version of much-loved Australian chocolate classic by this summer – with prices as low as £1.
Chocoholics were nuts about the carameralised white chocolate treat Down Under, where it has caused frenzies as shoppers queued up to get their hands on the treat.
The chocolate brand said a new and improved version of the Cadbury Caramilk bar will be hitting UK shelves from the end of June for the first time ever.
The brand said it had decided to release the flavour in the UK after its immense popularity in Australia, where fans have been known to hoard and ration limited Caramilk bars.

The tasty treat is made with a uniquely crafted golden blend of caramelised white chocolate sourced from 100% sustainable cocoa.
The popular classic has previously only been imported into the UK via specialised retailers.
Last week Brit fans went wild for the rare treats when they appeared in an online shop popular for its imported Australian and New Zealand snacks targeted at Antipodean expats living in the UK.
The bars first hit the shelves in Australia in the mid-1990s, and resurfaced to fanfare in the country and neighbouring New Zealand in 2017.

A newer ‘Top Deck’ version uncovered in the UK last week consisted of Dairy Milk topped with Caramilk chocolate and there were a small number of 175g bars available on GB Gifts for £5.99.
Cadbury’s owner Mondelez said this latest move marked the first time Caramilk would be made widely available in the UK.
The chocolatiers released pictures of the new UK versions of the bar set to hit shelves within weeks, in Cadbury’s trademark purple packaging featuring the golden Caramilk branding.
Beatrice Berutti, Brand Manager at Mondelez said: “We’re excited to announce that Cadbury is launching its Cadbury Caramilk bar in the UK this summer.
“After we heard Aussie fan’s reaction and their love for the Caramilk bar, we knew we had to add this popular classic to our range in a new and improved format.
“I’d encourage everyone to keep their eyes peeled for the bars hitting the shelves, if it’s anything like Australia, the bars will be loved by everyone!”
Last month, Cadbury brought a new bar normally only available in Australia to B&M stores in the UK.
The Neapolitan is described as being a “nostalgic” nod to a favourite Australian dessert and a novel take on the triple-layered ice-cream classic.
