Right now, we all deserve a bottomless brunch.

With lockdown due to end on Wednesday, December 2, Trattoria Settebello at the Gloucester Docks is offering the chance to drink bottomless prosecco.

The offer includes bottomless wine, prosecco and ‘Settelinis’ (a Bellini-style cocktail) plus a two-course meal, all for £25.

Bookings are now open for two-hour slots on Sundays between 12pm and 5pm.

England’s second lockdown was announced on October 31, with restaurants and pubs told to close except for takeaway for four weeks.

It has left many restaurants with spare time to recalibrate – with Settebello no exception.

Manager Leo Bifulco said: “I’m a positive person, so I think, we’re not going to change what’s happened but what we will do is make sure when we open, we do it better than everyone else.

“Basically, we’ve been training every day and really raising the level.

“So we spent the time doing all the things we wouldn’t have time to do when we’re open, like the bottomless brunch, or changes in the menu.

“We’ve set about raising the service levels so that when we do open, we’ll be right up there where we need to be.”

Leo and the team have also revamped their outside dining area to make sure its as comfortable as possible for customers who still want to sit outside even in winter.

The restaurant have kept their takeaway options available to ensure that their staff keep motivated and passionate.

Settebello has revamped their outside area

“It’s like their home here,” said Leo. “So we bring them in for the delivery service and we have a chat about the menu and what we’re going to do.”

Leo has found time during lockdown to tweak and adjust aspects of the restaurant to raise the standard even higher, even training staff on how to serve their cigars and wine.

November 18 marked the restaurant’s one-year anniversary at the Docks, and Leo said: “Our staff when we started are still here, which is great for our service.

“We’re all looking forward to re-opening and just continuing to raise the bar and do better and better.”
