To celebrate Healthy Eating Week (13 th -17 th June), Aldi has shared six low-cost recipes for those interested in following a healthier and more sustainable diet. This year’s theme is ‘eat well for you and the planet’, so whether you’re looking to increase your five-a-day or wanting to know your portions to reduce food waste, these recipes should help to offer plenty of inspiration.

Recent research from Aldi found that 63% of UK adults would like to eat more healthy meals. However, seven in ten (69%) think that must come at a cost.

Each recipe can be found on the Aldi website, with easy to follow, step-by-step instructions.

Recipe #15-a-day Smoothie– serves one



Bursting with fruity flavour, this super-healthy vegan smoothie is a perfect way to kick start your day.

Buy all the ingredients for around £1 per person, including avocados, apples and pears, with an estimated prep time of just five minutes.

Recipe #2Grilled Asparagus with Poached Eggsserves four



Poached eggs and grilled asparagus on warm toasted tiger bread – ideal for a healthy lunch or starter.

This colourful salad with fresh tomatoes, sliced avocado and red onion is ideal for a healthy lunch or dinner.
